Ideas for awareness raising activities

  • Share information on social media, find us on X (Twitter) @InvasiveSp.
  • Create an awareness raising display in a common area of your office, classroom etc.
  • Arrange a training session on biosecurity, identification or recording for your team or others.
  • Share Be Plant Wise materials with a green-fingered friend.
  • Arrange a Check Clean Dry demonstration at a local angling / paddling / sailing club to show how easy it is to keep kit free of invasive species.
  • Share information on invasive non-native species in a newsletter, website, blog, membership magazine, mailing list etc - think about which species are most relevant to you and the audience you’re trying to reach, local or business issues are likely to get their attention.
