It's Invasive Species Week 2024!
Today our theme is ‘What are invasive non-native species?’ We’ve explained this in our video and about non-native species page on our Invasive Species Week webpages, where we’re also sharing:

Events today
There’s lots happening this week, today's events include:
- We’ve launched a set of new posters with GB Alert species, and plants and animals of Special Concern, to help raise awareness of these species.
- The first of our daily webinars, with Professor Helen Roy, at 1pm. Find out more and sign up.
- Paddle UK, Angling Trust and Canal & River Trust are leading a floating pennywort removal event at Stonebridge lock, N17 0XD. Find out more and register to attend.
- Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s pop-up stand at Langsett Reservoir, South Yorkshire, S36 4GY.
