International Invasive Weed Conference

The PCA’s 8th International Invasive Weed Conference will take place on Thursday 28th November 2024. For anyone associated with the invasive weed industry, this annual event continues to be an ideal platform to network with and learn from industry leading speakers on issues affecting the sector.

Novel approaches to dealing with invasive plants will be central to this year’s conference, including controlling Japanese Knotweed from a tractor mounted cage using a 400-litre motorised spray tank and will look at a number of such species and the ways of controlling their spread with examples from Germany, the Czech Republic and Italy. Attracting a range of delegates from across the invasive plant sector, the conference is great way to network and discuss key issues in dealing with this increasing threat to biodiversity in different landscapes.
